About Project Paperdolls

Project “Paperdolls” is made by five textile and photography designers and artists from Estonia. It started in early spring 2008 and takes part in several fashion shows and exhibitions.

The aim of the project is to do fashion on a conseptual level without ready-made clothes or live models. This way the fashion is purely about the idea and don´t waste material nor produce more clothes than we need.

Collection “I´m a paperdoll, light my fire” consists 5 different collections. Every designer made a collection of 5 to 6 collection of clothes. These small collections are put together and used as one big collection called “I´m a paperdoll, light my fire”.

Group takes part in music and fashion festival Cabaret Derrida http://www.nihe.ee/ in Tallinn and Tartu. Paperdolls will also go to Leipzigh Fashion Festival http://www.feststoff-leipzig.de/ and ERKI Fashion Show http://www.artun.ee/index.php?main_id=865&lang=est.
